Corrections
Errors are fixed in place and recorded here. A site that asks readers to check its sources has to be checkable itself.
How to report an error
Write to contact@brewedshot.com with the page, the sentence or figure at issue, and the source that contradicts it. A source is what makes a report actionable: the article had to meet that standard, so a correction does too.
What happens to a report
- The cited source behind the claim is located and re-read.
- If the source does not support the sentence, the sentence is wrong, whether or not the conclusion changes.
- A factual error is corrected in the article, and the correction is recorded below with the date, the article, what was wrong and what it now says.
- Where a claim turns out to have no qualifying source, it is withdrawn or restated as undocumented rather than left standing.
- Typographical fixes and clarifications that do not change meaning are made without a log entry.
Corrections are not quietly overwritten. An article whose substance changes says so, and the entry stays in this log permanently.
